With the opening in 2009 of the new Westfield shopping centre in White City, the retail pitch in London has definitely swung back west. However, whilst the "under-cover Oxford Street" has won plaudits for the diversity of its retail offering, there are still a decent number of retail villages with decent footfall which are worth considering especially for niche or boutique products or services - not least Notting Hill, Chiswick, Richmond-on-Thames and Kingston.
